AP Exams

CSHS offers many College Board approved AP courses to enhance our students’ educational career.

Studies have shown that students who take AP courses and exams are much more likely than their peers to complete a bachelor's degree in four years or less (College Board). After taking an AP course, students have the opportunity to take the corresponding AP Exam, which, depending on their score and the college they ultimately attend, could earn them college credit and save them time and money.

AP encourages critical thinking and analysis. It teaches students to manage their time while they learn to deal with college level work. The structure of these classes encourages independent study skills. Students should plan with their parents and counselors to make sure all prerequisite courses have been scheduled early on to allow them to take the AP courses of their choice. Highly qualified teachers who have received advanced training through AP workshops, conferences and university coursework teach these courses.

ALL students MUST have an account with College Board. Please sign up before school starts since you will need to access it in your AP class the first week of school! You can sign up at myap.collegeboard.org.
